Happy Thursday Everyone!

Can you believe Thanksgiving is only a week from today?!?

For those of you looking for local, farm-raised turkeys - we still have 3 or 4, that are 20 pounds or less, in the freezer that are available. But don't wait long to decide! Turkeys are $4.00 per pound and spent their lives free-ranging here at Olympia Farm.

We recently put our last batch of roasters for 2020 in the freezer. There is a larger than usual range of sizes: 2+ pounds to 7+ pounds. There are plenty in the freezer now, but this will be the last batch of roasters for a few months. If you are going to be a very small group for Thanksgiving, a 7 pound roaster may be just what you need. Feel free to contact us at if you'd like to check out the large roasters.....they like to hide in the freezer, and we'll get them front and center for you to check out. Roasters are $5.50 per pound, and like the turkeys, spent their lives free-ranging here at the farm.

We will be bringing our steer and one of our humanely-raised veal calves back from the butcher in the next few weeks. We'll let you know the arrival date as soon as we know it ourselves. We sold out of beef in just over three-weeks last time we stocked the freezer, so if you want in on this one, be on the look-out for our next email!

Other things you should know:

The goats are finished giving us milk for the season, and the last batch of cheese is in the sale fridge;

The chickens are laying pretty well, and the sale fridge is stocked with eggs most days;

We just got a new batch of our Olympia Farm goat milk soap back from our soap maker - perfect for holiday gifts!

The wool room is stocked with yarn, patterns, and knitting needles - for you or for a warm and fluffy gift for someone special - you can email to set up a visit to the wool room!

We hope to see lots of you at the farm over the holidays, and wish you all a peaceful and healthy Thanksgiving!

Thanks to all of you who have been visiting the farm stand over the past few months - we really appreciate your business! We also love how you have been respecting each other's 6-foot space!

We are pretty excited about our new glass-fronted fridge for cheese, eggs, and some of our veggies - we think it is a great addition to the stand!

We are also excited to let you know that we recently purchased a small, commercial vacuum sealer, so when you buy our roasters, you will find them in a vacuum-sealed package. This means they actually look a little smaller, since the air has been removed from the cavity and extra spaces between wings, legs, and the body. It also means they will last a very long time in your freezers!

We will continue to add roasters to our stand for a couple more months, and will need to stop raising and harvesting roasters in the colder weather. Our new packaging allows you to stock up for the fall and winter!

For those of you who love to eat rabbit, we have a limited number of roasting rabbits available. They are also in the freezer, on the door!

We still have some lamb sausage, and a couple of legs of lamb and shoulder roasts, they are all moving out of the stand pretty fast - we hope you are enjoying them - we sure are!

We will have a very limited number of farm-raised turkeys available this autumn. We anticipate they will be in the 12 - 17 pound range. If you are interested in ordering one, please email us to reserve yours. Because of the limited availability and their popularity, we will only be selling pre-ordered turkeys.

For our fiber friends: we have farm-raised custom-spun yarn available - email us if you'd like to set up a time to visit the wool room or order yarn for pick-up or shipment.

Last but not least: we have tomatoes in the stand!!

Stay safe and healthy, and we look forward to seeing you at the farm!

We hope you are staying safe, healthy, and cool!

Our second batch of roasters is in the freezer! They range from 3-plus pounds to 6-plus pounds.

We raise our roasters in small-batches, on pasture, and supplement with grain.

Our last batch sold out in a day, so if you'd like to get one, don't wait!

They are $5.50 per pound, are weighed and priced, and ready to feed your family!

Hi everyone!

Can you believe that Thanksgiving is next week already?!?!

We are looking forward to celebrating the holidays with all of our fiber friends - and because so many of us are so busy weaving together the holidays for others, we will have one Woolly Wednesday get together for November/December to celebrate the holiday season.

Please join us on Wednesday, December 3 from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm for our holiday get together!

Bring whatever project you are working on, and a plate of cookies - or your favorite holiday goodie - to share with the group, and we'll take a couple of hours to enjoy good company, any needed help with your fiber projects, and a glass of cheer to start the holidays!

Questions? Feel free to call or text me at (203)507-4474.

See you 12/3 (and, right - that means this replaces the regular WW for November and December).
